Swipe was founded in 1970 by Aris Hadjigeorghiou and had been the licensed partner of Vileda, the housewares division of Germany's Freudenberg Group, making it the market leader in cleaning products across Cyprus.

In 2021, Fattal Group entered the Cypriot market by acquiring Swipe, the leading manufacturer and distributor of Vileda products in Cyprus. This marked the beginning of Swipe for Distribution’s journey under Fattal
Group.

Swipe for Distribution aimed to expand and diversify its offerings in Cyprus while maintaining the quality and reliability for which Vileda has been known for decades.

Initially, we started solely with Vileda products, meeting the cleaning needs of Cypriot households. But with a forward-looking vision, our journey continued to evolve with the launch of the Vileda laundry care line and the introduction of iconic brands like Revlon. These additions have expanded our portfolio into the personal-care category, allowing us to serve diverse customer needs and strengthen our position in Cyprus. Our expansion reached a new milestone in late 2023 when we introduced new brands like On, a quality range of personal care products, as well as Hamlet and Lily perfumes, achieving remarkable success with listings in major key
accounts across the island. Today, Swipe for Distribution is more than a distribution company; we are a trusted partner, dedicated to delivering quality products and fostering partnerships.
